Podium run in inaugural Freddy Smith Memorial at Cherokee Speedway
Wrapping up the 2025 Cherokee Chief miniseries on Sunday afternoon, Trent Ivey was one of 30 Super Late Models signed in at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the inaugural Freddy Smith Memorial with the Carolina Clash Series.
Ivey clocked in fifth-quickest in his qualifying group and then went from third-to-first in his heat race for the victory. Trent started on the front-row for the 50-lap, $15,000-to-win feature event and ran third behind Chris Ferguson and Ross Bailes.
