Runner-up showing for Ivey in Stick Elliot Memorial at Cherokee Speedway
Primed for another Super Late Model show at his home track, Trent Ivey joined the Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday afternoon for the 41st-annual Stick Elliot Memorial.
Ivey set fast time out of 25 Super Late Models on-site and earned the pole position for the 50-lap main event. Trent led briefly around halfway, but ultimately wound up second to Chris Ferguson. Zack Mitchell completed the podium.
Trent also competed in the 602 Late Model division on Saturday and started on the pole of the 20-lap feature, but dealt with mechanical issues and DNF'd.
