Ivey pockets $5,000 victory in Turkey 100 weekend at Swainsboro Raceway

With three different racecars waiting for him at the track, Trent Ivey made the trip down to Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway on Friday afternoon to compete in the 604 Late Model, 602 Late Model, and Street Stock portions of the Turkey 100.

Ivey grabbed the last transfer spot in his 604 heat race and made the $10,000-to-win Crate Racin' USA main event. Trent wound up 17th in the Shurling Motorsports ride on Saturday. After missing the mark during his Street Stock qualifying lap, Ivey made his way up to 12th in the feature on Saturday night.

Finding the most success in the 602 Late Model division, Ivey tapped in seventh-quickest in his qualifying group and ran second in his heat race. Trent started seventh in the feature event on Saturday and stormed forward to the front of the field. Ivey took the lead on lap 13 and raced to the $5,000 payday over Ches Chester and Bubba Roling.
