Trent earns Top-5 finish in 35th Blue-Gray 100 with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Cherokee

Joining the tour for its finale weekend, Trent Ivey unloaded at his home track of Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon for night one of championship weekend with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.

Ivey was among a 42-car field for the $8,022-to-win opener and he raced to a Top-10 finish in the 30-lapper. Trent started ninth and finished eighth. With $35,000 on the line in Saturday's finale, Ivey raced his way in through a B-Main and started 17th in the 100-lap main event. After pitting for tires just past halfway, Trent stormed through the field and wound up fourth when the checkers flew. He trailed Zack Mitchell, Brandon Overton, and Cory Hedgecock while Joseph Joiner completed the Top-5.
