Trent Ivey opens up 2024 season at Golden Isles Speedway
Trent Ivey kicked off his season on Thursday afternoon with a visit to Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) for the Super Bowl of Racing with the Shurling Motorsports team.
After qualifying for Thursday's event, heavy rain showers moved into the area which postponed Thursday's feature and cancelled Friday's show all together.
Returning to the track on Saturday, Ivey faded in the make-up feature to finish 13th before recording the second-fastest qualifying lap for Saturday' A-Main. Rolling off from the front-row in the $2,500-to-win feature, Trent landed on the podium in third behind Jeremy Steele and Ches Chester.
