Trent Ivey attends Summer South Sizzler at Cherokee Speedway
After more than a month away from the racetrack, Trent Ivey returned to his home track of Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon to compete with the American All-Star Series for the Summer South Sizzler.
Among a stacked 43-car field, Ivey finished sixth in his heat race which relegated him to a B-Main on Saturday.
With the erratic weather pushing the finale to Sunday afternoon, Trent needed a Top-2 finish to transfer to the $20,000 main event but came up two spots short in fourth.
