Seventh-place finish with World of Outlaws at Gaffney

Making the short trip to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.), Trent Ivey returned to action on Friday evening to compete in a doubleheader weekend with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series. Drawing 40 cars for the event co-sanctioned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series, Trent followed up the third-fastest time in his group with a third-place finish in his heat. After topping the 40-car field in time trials on Saturday, Ivey tagged the wall in his heat race on the opening lap, bringing a disappointing end to his weekend.
