Ivey attends DTWC at Portsmouth

Making the trek to Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio) on Friday night, Trent Ivey was one of 63 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries on hand for the 40th annual General Tire Dirt Track World Championship. Taking the Top 3 from heat races, Ivey came two spots short with a fifth place outing, transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday.

Sending the Top 2 into the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship, Trent faded back to a fourth place outing. Slated to start the Jim Dunn Memorial non-qualifiers feature in 14th for a shot at a $3,000 payday, Ivey elected to scratch from the 25-lap consolation event.
