Ivey scores runner-up finish in Mike Duvall Memorial at Cherokee Speedway
Pushing the event back to Sunday afternoon with persistent rain showers on Saturday, Trent Ivey was one of 22 Cherokee Chief Late Model entries at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Sunday morning for the Mike Duvall Memorial.
Missing the mark during his qualifying run, Ivey made up for it in his heat race as he powered from third to the victory over Zack Mitchell. Trent started the 40-lap, $10,000-to-win main event from the outside pole and ran second to Joseph Joiner.
